# Ondaclip versions

> Ondaclip versions: what each one uses to build and film your app, how Flutter tracks the latest stable release, and what filmed each video.

Each Ondaclip version is a tested bundle: the studio and the tools that film
your app change together. The studio shows it on the **Ondaclip versions**
page (click the version at the bottom of your account menu), and each run
shows what filmed it ("Filmed with").

## What a version tells you

Only what matters for your build:

| Part | What you see | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Web apps | The browser (Chrome) | Your web app is filmed in it |
| Flutter apps | Flutter and Dart | Ondaclip builds your app with them |
| Android | Android SDK (compileSdk), build tools, NDK, Java | The release build of your app uses them |
| Android | The phone in the videos (Android version and API) | Your app runs on it in the videos |

## Flutter: the latest stable release

Ondaclip uses the latest stable Flutter release. If your `pubspec.yaml`
(`environment.flutter`) or your `.fvmrc` asks for a different version, the
shoot tells you so, clearly, before it builds.

## Your product and its version

A product stays on the Ondaclip version it was set up with until you
upgrade it in **Settings, Where it runs, Update**. New runs then use the new
version.
